Yasuke Arahabaki had been harboring feelings of unrequited love for his childhood friend, Akari Inamori, for a long time. He finally decides to confess his love to her when she visits him for dinner. However, before they can sit down to eat, Yasuke's elder sister asks him to clear out the weeds at their family shrine's temple. Concerned about his upcoming confession, Yasuke accidentally breaks the sacred mirror of the shrine. As a dreadful consequence, a girl emerges from the broken mirror and takes Yasuke's soul, killing him. She then revives him with a kiss, but there's a catch. The girl, Seoritsuhime, is the goddess of misfortune and holds Yasuke's soul along with a curse. If they separate, he will die once again. Maga-Tsuki follows the story of a man haunted by misfortune, a goddess of misfortune, and his childhood friend as they strive to restore normalcy to their lives. However, will their love hinder their efforts or make the journey smoother?
